Today marks week 23 of our pregnancy...offically over the 5 1/2 month mark. Yesterday, Ella Grace must have felt my concern over the "you haven't gained enough weight" talk my doctor gave me because she was the most active she has ever been. She was moving all around all day and night reassuring me that she was A-OK!
Here is more information about baby Ella Grace.
At eight inches and slightly over a pound, Ella Grace is the size and shape of a small doll (and still the size of a papaya). This week marks the beginning of some serious weight gain (whoo hoo, what I need after yesterday’s talk!). Her weight in the next four weeks alone should double (and you may feel as though yours is too).
You have probably heard your developing baby's heartbeat through a Doppler a number of times already, but by now you can also hear it through a standard stethoscope. What a heart throb!
Ella’s skin is reddish in color now because of the developing blood vessels underneath (remember, the skin is very thin still). It also hangs loosely from her little body at this point. That's because the skin grows faster than the fat develops during fetal growth. But don't worry. By the time she is born, she will be pleasantly plump and filled out — from chubby cheeks to chubby toes.
Nothing new to report. All is going well. Brian and I are both trying to get through the Q4 madness at Amazon and have realized it's time to create the "to-do" list for our move and preparing for little Ella's arrival. Time is moving way too fast and we are way too behind! No joke!
I'll try and post a belly shot over the next few days. Today, I think it's the biggest it's ever been! Maybe that has to do with the chicken fingers and fries I had for lunch! Oh, and the decaf egg nog latte!
