Last Day of Maternity Leave

Today was my last day of maternity leave. Sigh. I really don't want to go back to work but such is life, right?

Kellen and I started the day bright and early by taking Ella to school. It was a nice transition into what Monday will bring. I'm not used to getting up early or being out of the house before noon! When we dropped EG off, we also took all of K's supplies in. I'm glad that's over with so I don't have to deal with it on Monday.

After drop-off, we headed to Bellevue Square and shopped for 3 hours. I couldn't believe how fast time went because I hate shopping! That's why I order as much as possible online. But, to give us a little credit, we did take a few diaper changing breaks and I sat and fed/played with him for a good 45 minutes.

When we got home, this little guy slept for almost 4 hours! He hasn't done that in the entire 20 weeks I've been off. I was confused! And, then we took some pictures of his cuteness.

I got on the floor to play with him and hair pulling turned into a photo opp of us two. I just click, click, clicked and this is how they turned out. Kinda fun, huh?!

We then went on a walk around the neighborhood Baby Bjorn style and that was our day!

Monday, Ella stayed home from school and we had a picnic at the park by our house.

 We love Gaga!

Last week, Kellen and I went to Meydenbauer park. It was so quiet and relaxing.

I admired the big houses. And, the yachts in the backyards of those big houses.
Must be nice!

Caught reading her Look & Find books. She loves these!

My soccer Princess. Who says girls can't play soccer in dresses!

Great heel stretch, K! Although, we prefer you focus on being a linebacker over a cheerleader. Just sayin'.

Coolest thing ever! I've always seen in on TV but it's never happened to me. So, on the way to Target, we stopped to let the geese cross the road.

And, on the way back from Target, I had a front row seat of them crossing again.

Sorry for the black screen. If he saw my camera, he didn't laugh as hard.

Zoo

We were supposed to go to Lake Chelan this weekend for a last minute getaway. But, the wildfires in that area are still going on and the smoke was so unpredictable that we decided not to. So much for sunshine, relaxation, and warm weather!

I had already pulled Ella out of school for Friday and Monday so we headed to the zoo on Friday. It was SO COLD!!! It was our second straight day of little sunshine, cooler temps, and a little drizzly rain and Brian and I both found ourselves saying "we can't do this another year." The weather affects us tremendously. Oh well, we'll dream of our next trip to Hawaii to keep our spirits up. But, I guess the cold didn't bother Ella because she wanted to wear her dress and sandals. Silly girl!

A very confused swan. Look at him standing on one leg.

All she wanted to do was see the "kimodo dragons." I thought she meant the live ones but it is the statue she wanted to see and play on.
