GAP Girl

She loves putting her hands in her pockets
Don't you love her pony?!

She has great hair! I'm envious!

Oh, and I must mention that getting these shots involved candy heart bribes...and yes, I gave her a baggy of candy hearts to eat on her way to school at 7:30 a.m. this morning. Just call me a bad mom - I don't care:)

Jacket vs Coat

Ella loves her aqua GAP hoodie and I pulled it out this morning after about a month of no wear. As we got her dressed, she wanted that jacket on. Ok, I said, and helped her put her jacket on.

Ella: Coat, coat (as she reached for it).
Mom: Ok, let's put your jacket on.
Ella: No, mommy. It coat, not jacket.

Well, exxxcuuussee me!

She looked so stinkin' cute this morning in full GAP attire - hot pink top, striped leggings, aqua jacket - I mean coat, and the best part, an adorable ponytail. I took pics and will post tonight. I should send it in to GAP!

Manual Mode

Please bare with me...I'm learning how to shoot in manual mode and you're going to see a lot of bad pictures while I figure this all out.

Yesterday was a super rainy and windy day so we stayed inside. Of course, that meant Ella had no desire to wear clothes. She's not really fond of clothes right now - she would prefer to be naked at all times. We're working on it! And, the yucky day allowed me to sit on the couch and mess with this camera.

I thought this was a pretty good pic of the pup! Otis turns 7 this Nov!

Ella and her nakedness. First of all, she has started to walk around with her hand down the back of her diaper. We have no clue why! Maybe she likes the feeling of her tush. Secondly, don't you love her little legs?! She didn't stay in the chunky phase more than a day and they look so athletic, hehe! I don't know, maybe it's the Nike's that give her such a sporty look.

How many heart candies can Ella fit in her mouth at one time? You only see 3 here but I think she had about 10 in there. (Ignore the big boogie in her nose! Ok, now that I've mentioned it I'm sure that's all you see now, haha!). Hopefully, I'll learn photo editing in my class too so I can get rid of that yuckiness!
There's a story to this random picture - yesterday as I was ordering our groceries online, I noticed there was a sale on these bananas. In the past, the most we've ever received are bunches of 3 or 5 so I thought I was going to get about 5. The description said they were partially green so I threw in another order of 3 ripe bananas to get us through today. We eat A LOT of bananas around here! Anyway, look how many arrived. I believe there are about 18! So we got 15 bananas on sale for $3 and change. I have no clue how we're going to get through all of these before they get those disgusting brown spots on them (I throw them away once they get that way because they stink). Luckily, Ella has a Valentine's Day party at school tomorrow and I'm in charge of bringing fruit!! I think I need to send in customer feedback to AmazonFresh that a quantity needs to be placed on that item. That's a lot of bananas!

Firetrucks

Several weeks ago, I picked up Ella from school at my usual 5:45 p.m. time and the teachers had quite the story to tell me. It went a little something like this -

"Oh my gosh! Ella did the funniest thing today - we were in the motor room and instead of saying "Firetruck," she said "Firef%$k. We couldn't help it but were rolling on the ground laughing!"....of course, I put my hand over my mouth and started laughing. Serina then went on to say that Ella fed off their laughter and repeatedly said "Fire%$k, Fire%$k."

Oh my goodness!

Serina went on to tell me that they then worked with her on the correct pronunciation. Well, a few days later she was sitting on the bed watching cartoons while we got ready and I hear "F%$k" again. I quickly looked and she was pointing to a truck on the TV. I reiterated the correct way to say truck. And, a few days after that, she said it again as we walked to our car and she pointed to a truck.

So....not really sure what to do here. I just hope she doesn't say it out in public when people are around!

Can I have Frye's with that?

I debated whether this would be a stupid post. But you know what? This is my blog and I can write about whatever the heck I want! So, I FINALLY bought me some Frye boots! And, I heart them! These boots are amazing - the smell of the fine leather, the perfect fit, and oh, so comfortable - A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Every girl's gotta have a pair (or two, or three) of Frye's!

Rainy Days

Saturday after Ella and I went around the block *in the rain* on her bike (and to get me coffee), she wanted to continue her outside play. She headed to the front door because she wanted to play on her little swingset. We headed out and poor thing was trying to climb up the slide but fell down because it was so wet. She then wanted to swing and I ran inside to grab a towel for her to sit on....this lasted all but 5 minutes.

 Isn't this so pathetic?

Sunday, Ella Grace and I headed down to Alki Beach to have coffee with my sweet friend, Christie. It was FREEZING!!! We opted out of walking along the water with Ella on bike and Christie with the dog she was sitting and headed back to the coffee shop. It was great catching up with her! When we got home, Ella continued to sip on her apple juice. She LOVES apple juice!

Can you believe this sweet baby is officially a TODDLER?! She graduated to the 2 year old room this week. They started transitioning on Monday where Ella would spend a 1/2 day in the Turtle room and 1/2 in the Penguin room. She has done so well that they decided she could do 3/4 of a day towards the end of the week. She will now be 100% in the Turtle room starting Monday. She was so excited to be with her best friend, Wesley, again! And, we are too!

Quote of the Day

And no, I won't be doing these daily. I have a Quote of the Day widget on the right column of my blog. Today's says:

Quote of the Day
Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!
Audrey Hepburn

I like it!
