Several weeks ago, I picked up Ella from school at my usual 5:45 p.m. time and the teachers had quite the story to tell me. It went a little something like this -
"Oh my gosh! Ella did the funniest thing today - we were in the motor room and instead of saying "Firetruck," she said "Firef%$k. We couldn't help it but were rolling on the ground laughing!"....of course, I put my hand over my mouth and started laughing. Serina then went on to say that Ella fed off their laughter and repeatedly said "Fire%$k, Fire%$k."
Oh my goodness!
Serina went on to tell me that they then worked with her on the correct pronunciation. Well, a few days later she was sitting on the bed watching cartoons while we got ready and I hear "F%$k" again. I quickly looked and she was pointing to a truck on the TV. I reiterated the correct way to say truck. And, a few days after that, she said it again as we walked to our car and she pointed to a truck.
So....not really sure what to do here. I just hope she doesn't say it out in public when people are around!
