Lake Chelan 2012

We headed to Lake Chelan, which is East of Seattle where much warmer temps and sun do exist, at the end of June. Brian's parents, youngest brother, and sister and her two kids joined us. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect!

Mia & Ella. These two were inseparable. Mia was a tremendous help for me and allowed me to enjoy vacation w/o chasing Ella around:)

 3 Amigos

My favorite picture! Too bad it's an iPhone pic.

Monday, us kids headed out for an afternoon without the kiddos. Boy, was it nice! We hit up 3 vineyards - Benson Vineyards, Vin de Lac, and Lake Chelan Wineries. Benson had the best views, Lake Chelan Wineries had the best vino. Little did we know that most closed around 5 so we weren't able to visit the others on our list. Probably a good thing:)

 Bro & Sis

Me and the boys shared a bottle of Rhythm. So good!

 Gorgeous views & winery

Don't ask

Our last night, we headed to Tsillan Cellars Winery and ate at Sorrento's for Eric's college graduation dinner. It was so yummy!

My cutie

Ok. Taking a picture of these 4 is pretty hard. I think I took 7 pictures. Each is pretty hilarious. Below is a taste of what I was working with. Pic #6 was as good as it gets!
Take #4, I believe.

Take #6

So cute!

The Meewes fam minus Chris & Steph. We missed you!

We came back to Seattle on the 4th and headed to Bellevue for the fireworks.

And, the loot Brian and I brought home:)

Kellen 2 Months

I cannot believe Kellen is already 9 weeks old! I know I keep saying it, but time is flying by way too fast. He's offically no longer a newborn. This kid is a hoss!

Weight? Not sure as he goes to the doctor tomorrow but I'm guessing around 11-12 lbs. I'm tell you - this kid is a chunky monkey!

Appetite? Kellen is now drinking anywhere from 6-8 oz every 3 waking hours!!! We went from 4 to 6-8 in a 1 week period. I think he has a growth spurt every other week. So, he has around 40 oz of formula and probably 8-10 oz of breastmilk (I can no longer keep up with him if you haven't already figured that out).

Sleep? He's still in our room. EG went to her room at 4 weeks. Unfortunately, his room is downstairs and ours are up, so he will be in our room much longer. He has been waking up once at night, usually between 2:30 and 5. The past 2 nights, he's been sleeping from 10 to 6 or 7. I hope he keeps this up for his parents sake!

Anything new? Kellen is now smiling and coo'ing like crazy!

My favorite thing? Kellen sleeping on me, belly to belly, with his arms on either side like a bear hug.

His favorite thing? Probably what I said. That, and eating!

Daddy's favorite thing? Well, he's not here to ask but I would say he likes Kellen lying on his belly, too. And, he's excited he's now smiling and "talking."

What does Ella think? In her own words...

"Guys, stopping playing with brother. Stop it! I'm taking a bath." - while we were on the bed hovered over him while he smiled, haha! I went in the bathroom and asked if she needed attention. She said yes. God bless her!

Another time...

"Stop playing with brother. I'm signing. It's very important to me." - when I was giving him a bath while she took one. I look over and what she called signing time was merely her dumping a large cup of water over her head. Hmmm.

Below is a pic of brother and his sissy at 2 months. Think they look alike?

Start of July

It's about impossible to get a good smile pic out of this little lady

Back from the dog lounge looking quite spiffy

 We're now getting some smiles!

Thinking about eating the last bit of chocolate (or whatever that is) on her lips

 Sweet boy

 Hydrangea plant in our backyard

It feels better outside than in our house (no air conditioning in these parts!)

We water our plants "maked."

Otis loves his babies. Always the protector.

Apologies for the lack of words but honestly, we don't do much around here. Since we're pretty predictable, I just let the pictures do the talking:)
