Another Apple Story

About a year ago, we gave you a story on Ella's love for apples. Well, I'm back with yet another apple story. You see, Ella loves apples. And, she really loves to eat them on her way home from school. When I take snacks to work, I usually pack an apple. Well, that apple usually doesn't get eaten. For some reason, Ella always thinks I'll have one with me on our ride home and she's usually right. Anyway, we head home tonight and from the back I hear "apple, apple." Being the good Mom I am, I purposely took my snack bag (aka Amazon plastic bag we receive our grocery deliveries in - "snack bag" sounded fancy) out of my backpack and into my purse before I left work so I could easily grab it if she asked for it. So she gets her apple, snacks on it down to the core, and when we get home, and I start to unload her, she has done it again. When she eats the darn apple, she spits out the skin. So there is skin everywhere - herself, in the carseat, on the seat, on the window, all down the inner side of the car, the floor, the holders in the door, you get it now, right? So I take her out and she watches me use wipes to swipe all that out of the car. While she watches, she doesn't want her apple anymore so she wants me to take it. I tell her to throw it on the ground. She puts it on the floorboard. When she's not looking I throw it on the ground again. As I shut the door she's yelling "Uh oh, uh oh" and reaches for the apple. As I open the front door to get my bags out, she puts it on the floorboard up there. At this point, I just want to chunk the stupid apple across the street (we have to park on the street in our neighborhood - another hassle and annoyance at this point). So, long story short, I throw the apple on the ground and as we walk to the house I'm thinking:

1) Apples are compostible, right?
2) I probably shouldn't teach my child to throw stuff on the ground.
3) And finally, I pretty much said "Who cares, I have too much stuff in my hands" and forgot this whole ordeal happened.

The End.

Last Few Weeks

We've been a little busy around here - blame it on work. The weather has not been in our favor either so we've been holed up in the house when not at work and daycare. Below are some random pictures I took while Ella Grace was being her silly self.

Our little baker making "cookies"...so she says.

Little Diva

This is what happens when Momma gives Ella one of Daddy's Gatorade's. She drank all 20 oz. in about an hour.
And we had a little snow...5 inches to be exact. The snow turned to rain overnight so no snow day:(

And Ella decided she wanted to wear her snowsuit to bed after her bath. Not kidding. We had to beg her to swap it out for PJs. (Note: She didn't go out in the snow. Just found the suit in her drawer...random.)

Sporting the Elmo shirt I bought her in Vegas

And sitting on her swingset - I swear our house isn't a playground. This has made it's way outside.

Back

I'm back from 4 days in Vegas for the International Consumer Electronics Show...and I'm exhausted. Great show - TVs are getting thinner than ever!, vendor meetings went well, but I am so glad to be back home!

Just heard Ella Grace say "I love it." Haha! More posting to come once I'm no longer sleep deprived.

Night Night

"Night Night" is what we call naps and well, going to bed at night around here. The items Ella Grace must take to her bed with her is growing every day. Here is what she demanded go with her when Brian put her down for her nap today:

- Pink and white blankey
- Multi-color dotted blankey
- Elmo
- Baby Bear
- Baby Bear's blankey
- Paci

And, Brian came back down because she wanted her Elmo "Shake A Leg" book.

On top of that, she has about 5 stuffed animals and at least 1 other blanket that always stay in the bed. I don't know how she sleeps with so much stuff!
