What's new:
He is really starting to babble
He's WALKING!!! Not full blown walking but day over day, he walks more and more.
He waves bye. It's so cute. And, it's accompanied by him stretching his arm out as far as he can and he says "baaaaaaaa." Sounds like "bye" to us.
This lingering cold sent me and him to the doctor last week. The doctor believes the cold has lasted way too long to be a 100% viral issue. She asked me to take him off of all dairy as 80-90% of lingering colds in infants is a result of a dairy allergy. This no mammal's milk thing is much harder than I had thought. Everything has milk in it! So, we're on soy and almond milk. And, I try my best to keep his milk intake to a minimum knowing I can't get it 100% perfect. Think soy butter sandwiches, no cheese or yogurt (haven't explored the dairy free versions yet), no pizza, no bagel + cream cheese sandwiches. Thankfully, I know a few folks who eat dairy free and am awaiting their info on lists of things he can eat. He'll be evaluated in 4 weeks at his 12 month check-up (it's on his birthday and full of shots, poor thing)! If not better, we'll explore other possible allergies. Fun stuff. I just hope he grows out of it because it's a huge pain.
At the doctor he was 29 3/4 inches long and 21 lbs 10 oz. Getting big!
He's getting wilder by the day and into everything. You can't take your eye off of him even a split second because if you do he has broken the glass dog bowl, poured the dog bowl water all over himself, gotten into the trash and eating rotten leftovers, escaped to Ella's room to knock her castle over (he's forbidden in there), pulled the toilet paper off the roll, climbed into the cabinets, the list goes on. There are days I panic because I can't find him. And, food or drinks in the den - completely forbidden! The moment you set anything down on the table, he dumps it on the floor. He has held us captive in our own home. All I do is clean up after him. Exhausting! Our apartment is so gross. I cannot wait to have a house cleaner again (and live in a house)!!
But, he's mighty cute!
