Seattle to San Francisco

Our journey from our last days in Seattle to sunny California

Enjoying his last moments with his Christmas toys before they're packed up for who knows how long

Teasing the pup

Cute bum
Got a new car

Last treat at Ben & Jerry's

Last WA oysters, yum!

Dinner @ Red Robbin

Made teachers going away gifts - a pot with a "Thank you for helping Ella & Kellen bloom" note, herb packet, chalk to write on the pot, & hershey hugs and kisses.

Beautiful Seattle clouds

On our last night, we hit up the waterfront, had dinner, and let Ella play at her fave arcade.

Slept on the floor our last night in the house. Worst sleep ever.

Chillin in Ella's room while packers packed everything up downstairs.

On our way to Cali...Oregon, I believe.

Cute picture Kellen's teacher and class made him. I can't wait to frame it!

And, Ella's teacher who taught her from Day 1 as an infant made her a CD of pictures...
all of her and Wesley.

Some mountain in No. Cali
Our first weekend in California. The rolling hills with cattle and horses are so pretty!

Sweet girl told me she wanted to send her friends Valentines because they missed her. So, we did. They're on their way to Seattle.

Kellen 8 Months

I am very late posting this but Kellen is closer to 9 months than 8 months at this point. His 9 month check up came early since we were moving. I don't have the stats because they're on the moving truck, but I'll be sure to update this post once we have our stuff!!!

Kellen - 8 months = ALL OVER THE PLACE! Seriously, this kid never stops. He is a complete 180 from his sister. We cannot take our eye off him for even 1 second before he's into something.

Here is what he is up to:

- He is crawling.
- He literally falls on his head 10 times a day. No kidding. I'm surprised he hasn't had a concussion. Last week, he fell so many times he had bruises all over his forehead.
- He loves his Otis. I catch him crawling into Otis' bed when Otis is chilling out and trying to pull on his ears.
- He LOVES to laugh when people are crying or getting in trouble. I've witnessed it and his teachers confirmed it.
- He loves to stand. He actually stood for the longest time before he officially crawled.
- He does not miss a meal. As soon as he sees me with his food, he immediately crawls towards me.
- Feeding him is a challenge right now. We're in a hotel without our gear so he eats on the floor. This actually means he stands, crawls, turns all around while I try to shove a spoon down his throat.
- His most frequent word is dadadadada.
- When he's upset, he says mamamamama. So funny!
- He loves to tease his sister. It drives her crazy. He likes to eat her dolls, take her toys, crawl on her, pull her hair, steal her food, you name it. Little bully!
- He likes to get ahold of Otis' dog bowls. This usually results in a full bowl of water being dumped on the floor.
- He has figured out how to crawl up stairs.
- He still has no teeth.
- He wears 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.
- He's been a sick little boy since November (nasty chest cold) but starting to feel better. This has allowed his inner "monster" to come out.
- He makes gremlin noises, a weird lip pucker face, and lots of strange sounds that give me a heart attack when I'm not in the room, hear it, and run to check on him.
- He loves to laugh, especially when he's swinging at the park...or watching his sissy swing.

He has the cutest chubby legs, huge booka belly, and sweetest demeanor. I can't believe he's closer to one and no longer a baby.

Santa Came Early/Kellen's 1st Christmas

We left for Memphis on the 23rd, so to our surprise, Santa decided to come see us the Saturday before we jumped on an airplane!

I snuck down the night before and discovered Santa came!

Highlights include:

Ella
pink guitar
balance bike
Princess movies
Cinderella doll
stocking stuffers like bubble bath (only the Princess kind, that is)
ballet shoes, leotard, and skirt

and her most favorite....a "cumbrella" or Princess umbrella

If only Santa knew he only had to spend $10!

Kellen
rocking sailboat
choo choo train
tool workbench

But, of course, his favorite was the wrapping paper and ribbon.

I'm thinking future Taylor Swift?

Brian and the kids bought me a watch and wine club membership. We got him a new coat and leather monogrammed dop kit.

Perty isn't it?!

We had a great Christmas!
