We headed out to Remlinger Farms today and had so much fun! And, we planned it perfectly because as Ella rode her last ride, the rain came pouring down. And, I mean pouring! So off to the car we ran! Before that we...
Went to the pumpkin patch
She wanted no part in sitting on the pumpkin she picked out
Our little boo boo is growing up way too fast. He was sick on his 5 month birthday so I snapped a pic of him today. Look at those baby blues!
Just got done eating
Kellen is cuter than ever. I want him to stop growing as I want him to stay a baby forever! There isn't tons to report but he likes:
- Belly laughing when I'm pushing his sister in the swing at the park
Sorry for the bad filming. I had him in my right arm, was pushing Ella with my left, and somehow got my phone in there, even if it's all over the place. Just don't watch the video and listen to his laughs. Love it!
- Being Prince Charming at school. His teachers say he gives his little smile to them and the little girls in his classroom.
- Eating! Until 3 days ago, he was on 100% milk and has worked his way up to 8 oz bottles!!! He's such a piggy!
- Playing with his sissy. They are really loving each other until Kellen grabs Ella's long locks with both hands and she's hovered over him screaming because he won't let go. Poor girl!
- He still loves sticking his legs straight up when he's on his back and playing with his toesies.
Other stuff:
- He goes psycho in his exersaucer now, especially when he's ready to get out. He will be moving himself all over the place like a drunken sailor.
- He loves to laugh. Such a happy, happy baby.
- His teachers say he loves music and sways side to side when they play it.
- He can sit up assisted and prefers sitting over anything else.
- He's screeches are insanely loud! He sounds like a pterodactyl. - My favorite thing is his open-mouthed kisses.
Boo Boo got sick last weekend. Sunday, he had a fever and I was up with him all night resulting in both of us staying home Monday. Same thing occurred Monday night so we both stayed home again. On Tuesday, he would scream and cry for hours on end, which is not like him. During one of his crying fits, I texted Brian to get us a doc appointment. Sure enough, the poor kid had an ear infection in his right ear. He's now on good ole bubble gum amoxicillin and much better. Because he was so stopped up, we had him sleeping in his bouncy chair and later in the week, I finally bought him so rice cereal to get some food in him. He was so starving but couldn't drink a bottle because he couldn't breathe! The rest of the week was pretty tough though. Brian was sick all week and stayed home Thurs. Friday, I was so delirious from no sleep and started feeling bad so stayed home. Long week for the Meewes clan!!
Little sick one playing with his toys
I bet 6 months is going to get exciting as Kellen is already trying to army crawl!
I went back to work Oct.1 and Mr. Kellen had his first day of school. Let's just say he's won over his teacher's hearts with his charm, big smiles, belly laughs, and raspberry blowing. He did wonderful and fit right in.
Ella also had her first Pre-K/Monkey room assignment due - create a family collage (they do this for each classroom each year) and present it to her classmates.
Back in 2011, I had these grand plans of creating a photo book for each year of our lives since mid-2008 when I found out I was pregnant with Miss Priss. I started my first book early 2011 making my way through the first 6 weeks of Ella Grace's life. Fast forward to May 2012. The book is still untouched and my goal was to get through 09, 10, 11, and 12 to-date while on maternity leave. I maybe got through another 5 pages of creation and wasn't making much progress. Fast forward again to Sept 2012, 3 weeks before I head back to work. I received a coupon from Blurb.com, who I was making the book through, and told myself I had to get 2008-2009's book done. I worked about 4 hours at a time many, many mornings and pulled a really late night the night before the coupon expired. And, IT'S COMPLETE! 208 pages and 556 images later, I hit the Place Order button and received it in 4 days. I am so happy with it! Even though most of the book is using a point and shoot (before I got my nice DSLR), all the images look so great! I highly recommend this company and now need to get started flipping through over 11,000 images (yes, that's right!) to complete the next 3 years. All I have to say is "I'm so thankful I've kept up with this blog because if I didn't, I would have no information to put in these books." I snapped a few images of it but they don't do it justice.
