6.5 Months

This week has been a whirlwind of a week. Between staying home with a sick child Mon, contracting food poisoning and being sick Tues and Wed, having a not so pleasant doc appointment on Thurs, and another ultrasound in order for today, I think it's safe to say we're all glad it's the weekend. Regarding the kind of worrisome doc appointment, yesterday my doctor ordered an additional ultrasound because baby brother was tracking small for dates. My doctor was super calm and unworried about it but of course I asked 0 questions and then left with like 100. That led to staring at spreadsheets all day yet not actually working in them and finding myself Google searching about this topic. That stuff will drive you crazy! Anyway, to make a long story short, all three of us headed to Seattle Ultrasound today to have the baby measured. Ella was so sweet. She stood on a chair beside the ultrasound table, held my hand, rubbed my arm, put my hand on her face, brushed her hands through my hair and on my face. She's so precious! Everything looked fine and little brother actually measured large for dates - roughly around 28 weeks (I'm 26), but my due date stayed the same. His heart rate was 148 yesterday and we were told today he weighed 2 lbs 4 oz. Even better, I received a phone call from my doctor saying everything looked great, baby had grown a lot, and we were clear to go to Maui next week! Woo hoo! So, off to Maui we go next Friday and we cannot wait!


I have taken 0 belly pics this pregnancy. I know, I know but something about the second pregnancy, I'm just not as anxious to track all of that stuff. However, I did set up the tripod and snapped a few DIY shots tonight. So, you're welcome for those who have asked:)...mainly you, Mom.
