2 Year Check-up

Ella Grace had her 2 year check-up Wednesday. The whole morning and on the ride there, she was so excited to go to the doctor. I don't know why because she cries every time. She kept saying "going to doctor to make sure Ella ok!" So we get there and the nurse told me to strip her down. Ella was hysterical. She didn't want me to take off her clothes. With some convincing and bribing of the doctor books and toys, I finally got them off. Of course, she cried and cried for the next 30 minutes through the measurements, weigh in, Dr. Spector cleaning out her left ear, and 1 shot and a finger prick. Her alligator tears turned to little wimpers once the nurse pulled out a bucket of fun prizes she could choose from to take home. Her pick - 2 necklaces. Imagine that!

Weight - 26 lbs 4 oz.; 40th percentile (as he doctor said "long and lean, I wonder who she got that from.")
Height - 32 inches; 75th percentile
Noggin - 48.8 cm.; no percentile given

He said she was beautiful, he had no concerns, and to have her start seeing a pediatric dentist. Add that to my to-do list:)

We have a healthy babe!

Ella Words III

A couple of new phrases I wanted to jott (sp?) down...

"gobble gobble cockadoo" - she goes around saying this. I don't know where she got it from but find it hilarious!

"it's sunny out here. i need my sunglasses." - what she said this morning, 4/28/11, when we walked outside. Poor thing doesn't know what real sunlight is! It was barely sunny!

"ummmmm" - what she prefaces sentences with lately

"otis tinky " - last night she was sitting on the couch and Otis plopped down beside her. We thought she was saying "otis binky" meaning "get off my blankies" but we finally realized she was telling Otis he smelled bad! And, he did. He smells horrible! He might be rotting from the inside out or something.

Full Moon

As I sit here, my child has pulled her diaper off, bent over, mooned me, and is now rubbing her tush on me and my laptop. Gross!

Our Little Ladybug

Her Aunt Steph and Uncle Chris sent her the cutest ladybug costume. How cute is she!!

And check out her flower bows they sent too!

Oh, and Brian didn't want to be left out so he wore her ladybug antennas.

Who also likes to color on her belly...

It's kind of a funny store....Brian was in the exact spot you see him in this picture. Ella was standing to his left in nothing but her diaper and I was behind in the kitchen cleaning up. I kept hearing her say something like "daddy, I color on my belly" but just kind of ignored her. After hearing this 15 times, I decided to take a look. Brian was in his own world too and as she continued to warn him of what she was doing, she had completely colored all over her belly. I'm just glad it was her and not the wall!

Sunday Fun Day

Sunday, Ella Grace and I went shopping. As some of you know if you saw my Facebook post, on our way downtown I asked her if she was hungry. Her response was "No, we're going shopping."

My kinda girl! After we shopped and enjoyed a Girls Only lunch, we lounged around at home. I was bored and took some pics of my sweet baby girl.
