Snow Pics

Our little pink marshmellow...

Ella and I went for a little walk in the snow on Tuesday. Knowing that we had limited supply of "snow" clothes, I scrounged until I found this hand-me-down from my now teenage cousin. Rain boots were at school and we don't have any type of snow shoes around here so I'm sure her feet were frozen in her Nike's. She's like her mom and really wasn't into it....so we went to the coffee shop:)

You Know It!

We're at home today due to snow. Below is the conversation I just had with Ella...

Momma: Do you want to go night night?
Ella: No.

Momma: Do you want to take a nap?
Ella: No.

Momma: Are you cute?
Ella: Yeah.

Then she starts laughing in her super girly, high pitched laugh.

So full of it!

Snow!

Despite early afternoon daycare closure and a 2+ hour drive home through icy roads, the snow is pretty:) I froze my butt of taking this video (no clue where my gloves or hat are) and Otis was ready to go to the bathroom and get it over with! He's a sissy like me when it comes to cold weather.

My sweet friend Laura had to abandon her car because of the weather and traffic delays. Glad she made it home ok! Beach anyone?!!

More to come tomorrow as I'm sure Ella will want to test out the cold (even though she has nothing resembling snow clothes).

Weird Hair-dos, Elmo Love, and Chips & Dip

Eating Rotel dip and watching football with her Daddy. She likes to dip the chip in the rotel and lick it off. She doesn't eat the chip.

So cute that she puts Elmo in the chair so they can watch Milo & Otis together

Ella has come home with some strange hair-dos this week. I will also add that I am furious with her teacher for wrapping these rubberbands in her hair so many times that I have to cut them out. Not to mention, she does it so tight it makes my brain hurt looking at Ella's head. It took me at least 15 minutes to get all 10 out while Ella was crying the whole time. Not cool. I will be having words with her tomorrow!
Yes, cute but how painful does that look?!

It appears Ella has some kind of infection. I'm barely able to change her diaper. She cried and cried until I finally put her in the bath to get the poop off her (yes, more than you care to know) and then we cleaned the tub out and put her in the bath again to soak. We're going to call the doctor tomorrow and hopefully they can get her in. We feel so bad for her! Tough night!

Beginning To Feel Like Winter

Last weekend was pretty mellow. Saturday, Ella Grace and I headed downtown for a little shopping. Doesn't she look cute in her little jumper?
Eating Skittles

Sunday morning, me, Ella, and "baby" walked around the corner to our neighborhood coffee shop, Red Cup.

We enjoyed our drinks - apple juice for Ella, a latte for myself - while sitting next to the gas fireplace.
Ella decided my granola bar (these homemade bars are the best!) was now hers and ate it.

Then we took a long walk back home. Sometimes she pushed baby and others, she made me carry the stroller and herself. That was a sight to see!
Later, we headed back downtown for some more shopping. As we were in search for some UGGs or EMUs for her in the kids dept. at Nordy's, one of the sales reps gave her this purple balloon. She loved it!
